Carol graduated from Sweet Briar College in 1964 with a major in Economics and in 1966 received a master’s degree in Archival Management and American History from Wayne State University.

After college, Carol taught school for several years before joining Troutman Sanders LLP (formerly Mays & Valentine LLP) in 1972 where she worked as a paralegal in the Trusts & Estates Practice Group until July 1, 2005 when she left to form this firm.

Carol has extensive experience in advising executors and trustees and also frequently serves as fiduciary. Carol also has significant experience in estate and income tax planning for individuals, estates and trusts, as well as, years of experience in preparing income tax returns for individuals, estates and trusts and estate and gift tax returns.
